A short ferry ride away from the glamour of Cannes, France are two scenic islands. The two islands are collectively known as the Illes des lerins. Ile Saint-Honorat has an abbey and a fortress while the second island Ile Sainte-Marguerite has the infamous Fort Royal that imprisoned the Man in the Iron Mask. Both islands offer a variety places to eat gourmet food and drink wine. Beaches and just general sight-seeing are another attraction. Away from the shores of the islands you can kayak, canoe or go on a dive.
