The Ben Sherman brand became famous for being sported by several well-known musicians and singers. It was the first company to produce the famous Oxford button-down shirt and grew to become the fourth largest men's casual wear brand in the United Kingdom.

Ben Sherman was founded in 1963 by Arthur Bernard Sugarman, who was born in Brighton, England, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1946 via Canada. He married the daughter of a Californian clothes producer and later returned to Brighton where he bought a concourse shirt factory, the inauguration of the Ben Sherman brand.

GANT is a lifestyle brand offering modern, high quality casual wear with a European touch. GANT introduced button down collared shirts to Americans and is credited with inventing the locker loop, which famously spread throughout Ivy League campuses.

GANT’s American values derived from its 1949 founding in New Haven, CT, and was later influenced by European styles. These two influences still inspire its key values: Integrity, Refinement, Character, Understanding, and Optimism. GANT is considered one of the first great American sportswear brands, including its men's polo shirts.
