Fresh Polos - Nautica - Ben Sherman - J. Lindeberg
An American classic, Nautica offers polo shirts and clothing known for rich color, performance and style. Designed for active, adventurous and spirited lifestyles, it is a top American lifestyle brand, known worldwide.
Nautica is derived from “Nauticus”, Latin for ship. In Italian, it means seamanship. Exploring the seas was one of mankind's first accomplishments. The company's spinnaker logo symbolizes adventure, action and classicism. Founded in 1983, a nautical heritage and spirit is reflected in every aspect of its brand, including color names of its polo shirts.
Its parent, VF Corporation, was awarded the 2017 World's Most Ethical Company® by the Ethisphere Institute, one of three apparel companies.
The Ben Sherman brand became famous for being sported by several well-known musicians and singers. It was the first company to produce the famous Oxford button-down shirt and grew to become the fourth largest men's casual wear brand in the United Kingdom.
Ben Sherman was founded in 1963 by Arthur Bernard Sugarman, who was born in Brighton, England, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1946 via Canada. He married the daughter of a Californian clothes producer and later returned to Brighton where he bought a concourse shirt factory, the inauguration of the Ben Sherman brand.
Johan Lindeberg started J. Lindeberg in 1996, after leaving his position as president of Diesel’s United States operations. His passion for the game of golf inspired him to design a golf collection. Known for unique styling and technical fabrics and the iconic JL Slater White Belt, Lindeberg created the modern fashion movement in the golf world.
Johan Lindeberg describes the look of the brand as “elegant bohemian.” He combines the clean Scandinavian lines with a bit of a bad boy feel. However, the company is also known for chic golf wear, which is popular with pros on the PGA Tour. Polo shirts are a core piece of this collection.
